Rodney D Ryder

Rodney D. Ryder is a leading technology, intellectual property and corporate lawyer. He is the founding partner at Scriboard®; He is the author of Guide to Cyber Laws: the Information Technology Act, 2000, E-Commerce, Data Protection and the Internet, the first section-wise analysis of the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000. He is presently Advisor to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on the implementation of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Mr. Ryder has been nominated as a 'Leading Lawyer' in intellectual property, technology, communications and media law by Asia Law, Who'sWhoLegal, Asia Legal 500, amongst other International publications. Mr. Ryder is also advisor to the Data Security Council of India [a NASSCOM initiative] on the structuring of industry data privacy and information security policies and contractual standards. 

Ashwin Madhavan

He is a lawyer working with Scriboard. Before joining Scriboard, he worked for a brief period in a Canadian Law Firm. He completed his law from Gujarat National Law University in 2010 and an LLM in Technology Laws and Intellectual Property Laws from Dalhousie University, Canada in 2011, He is a founding member of Law Wire and Enhelion. His areas of expertise are Domain Names and Cybersquatting, Trademarks, Copyrights and Information Technology Laws. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He has advised various Fortune 500 companies on various aspects of India's technology and IP Laws. He has written several articles for various journals National and International publications. He was a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Legal Research, GNLU and also a member of Law Wire’s Editorial Board.  Ashwin loves to read books related to history, business management and foreign policy. He has travelled extensively to different parts of the globe. He has taken part in discussions pertaining to India’s foreign policy matters at Jawahar Lal Nehru University. He is a trained classical singer and is also currently learning to play the Piano. He has conducted workshops on Intellectual Property and Management in Indian law schools. He has been an instructor in a training programme for Government Scientists at the Ministry of Agriculture, Goverment of India. James Mukkattukavunkal

He is the head of the Digital Brand Management Department at Scriboard and also is a founding member of Enhelion where he heads some of the education projects, their planning, strategy and course content. He completed his graduation in B.A(Hons) Philosophy, from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and went to the Campus Law Centre for his law degree. In his stint there he was one of the leading moot court representatives and represented the college in various national level moot courts as well as training the new intakes for the future. After, his LLB degree he went on to practice law in the district courts, High Court and Supreme Court under the guidance of senior counsels. Subsequent to that he joined a reputed banking and finance law firm, S.N. Gupta. After working for 3 years in the field of law he went for his further studies to the Queen Mary College, University of London where he pursued his masters in Intellectual Property Laws. He has been a regular guest speaker to workshops, to name a few “The workshop on intellectual property for MSME’s of Agricultural Implements” hosted by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises”; “Interactive Session with Custom Officials on IPR Enforcement - Best Practices” &  “Interactive Session with Police Officials on IPR Enforcement – Best Practices” hosted by Confederation of Indian Industries. Aishani Gupta is a fifth year student from National Law University, Delhi. She was the winner and the best speaker (overall) at the 2011-12 Price Media Law Moot (South Asia Rounds). In the world rounds she was a semi-finalist and the highest ranked Indian speaker at the competition. She enjoys traveling and photography. She also is a grade 8 level violinist from Trinity College (Cambridge), London.

Devna Arora is a fifth year student at National Law University, Delhi. In her stint there, she has held various positions of responsibility and has represented the university at various national and international moot court competitions. She has an active interest in Media, Entertainment and Cyber Laws.

Dibyadarshini Nanda is a third year student from Madhusudan Law College, Cuttack (Utkal University), Odisha.   She has represented her law school in moot court competitions and was a part of the semi-finalist team as a researcher in The Verdict: The IIT National Moot Court Competition 2012, IIT Kharagpur. She enjoys reading books, writing and travelling.
